This week was pretty unphotogenic for me… as I didn’t do a lot. I took some fun household photos throughout the week, I guess, and then FINALLY, on Saturday, I visited the Sertoma Butterfly House here in town! I had been waiting to go again for weeks! I went a long time ago with my husband, before we were married, and have just been resisting the urge to go back without him. I couldn’t resist. I HAD to go and bring the Canon 30D with me! I have a lot of photos this week, but enjoy anyway!
And, by the way, many butterfly prints will soon be available at my Weber Photography Fine Art Photography Shop. Fine Art Photography. Affordable Prices. Free U.S. Shipping, Always!

energy efficient lightbulbs are our friends

let's help save the earth, go green, be efficient, just a little

I love water fountains and sprinklers

Springtime may finally be arriving soon!

This butterfly was hanging out on the pathway.

I love how the butterfly house has tropical type plants, too!

The butterflies love these fruit posts.

This butterfly had a great time showing off its wings for me.

I really enjoyed the task of framing this butterfly in the trees.

The blue butterflies very rarely stayed still, and they hung out by the emergency exit for the majority of my visit!

This one is one of my favorites from the whole day.

I love these pink peace lilies.

Another beautiful pink flower.

This one is fun, I think, becuase of the pollen.

This butterfly stayed attached to the tree trunk for quite some time.

Koi ponds are wonderful to me.

I LOVE the texture on this one.

Poor hibiscus, its time is through.

Anyone know what kind of flower this purple one is?

This photo was taken of my camera's lens, while sitting in the butterfly house. I took it with my cell phone, so the quality is not good.

Another photo of the reflections in my Tamron lens. It's the ceiling of a hut in the butterfly house.
See more photos in my aforementioned etsy shop, or on my Flickr Project 365 (and that’s almost done)!

Did you know that you and Courto are part of the reason my photography has improved so much since I joined B? You two are amazing and make me aspire to improve.
I love these. So many are awesome. The butterflies make me long for Callway Gardens, where Jase and I took our honeymoon SEVEN years ago.
Beautiful photos! Thank you so much for sharing! For an unphotogenic week, you have some incredible work here! My guesses for the purple flowers - violets, a type of primrose or pansies (they don’t have the “monkey face” middle like pansies, but the petal arangement is similar.)
Awww, Ang! you make me feel all happy inside! Even Jake thought that was SUPER sweet!
WOW! These are splendid! I’m particularly fond of the lily pads, but I love them all.
P.S. Are you celebrating Earth Hour this year?
I most definitely am! Why do you ask?
I love the butterflies and flowers. There is a Butterfly House near me, I may have to visit.
Wow! Those are gorgeous photographs!
Beautiful! I love butterflies
Thanks for sharing
Lovely photos - the reflection in lens is awesome!
I love the butterfly shots, and the reflection in the lens - amazing
These are so beautiful! I love the one resting on the tree trunk….and I was also going to guess the purple flower is a violet.
Scrolled down to the wedding photos too….very imaginitive, not your usual forced wedding photos, they’re so natural and stunning!
I feel terribly inadequate now, hehe!
Thanks for visiting us!
oh wow!!
great pictures-all of them, its hard to pick a favorite but i love the one of the butterfly that hung on the tree trunk-gorgeous!
owww i love all your shots especially those butterflies.
Those are fantastic! I really love the wilting hibiscus, of course the others are beautiful too!
I loved the sprinkler shots. Never would have thought photograph something like that.
Great details! I love all the butterfly shots
@Nik- sorry for the delayed response. Your lightbulb shots reminded me of Earth Hour!
